The purpose of this study is to make the student understand the various possibilities of approximation of intervals that orbit a chord in its formation of tetrads and triads. This specific concept is a study by guitarist Pat Martino and the idea is to play phrases that leave the tonic 3m and 5 of the dorian Am7 chord, making you have multiple starting points to improvise.
